Curriculum

Religion:  Sadlier We Believe: God's Law Guides Us looks to the Church for
help in answering "yes" to Jesus. Each chapter presents the truths of the
Catholic faith found in Sacred Scripture and Tradition in ways that are
age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and varied. Particular emphasis is on
the Ten Commandments.

Social Studies:  Harcourt Horizons States and Regions outlines the five 
themes that frame the study of geography: location, place, human-environment
interactions, movement, and regions. Emphasis is placed on map and globe
skills,reading and research skills,and studying the 50 states and capitals. 
Throughout the book the Louisiana connection  is stressed.

Each chapter develops the methods of science for a student to

Reading: Scott Foresman Reading Street
The fourth grade reading series is composed of 40% fiction and 60% non-fiction
selections. The skills emphasized include the following: phonics, fluency,
vocabulary/concept development, and text comprehension. The literature is
organized around unit themes. Each selection connects and expands the concept
to build deeper understanding. Guided instruction enables students to develop
