1. Listen to the teacher.
2. Follow directions.
3. Raise your hand to speak.
4. Stay in your desk.
5. Obey all school rules.
6. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
7. Use your indoor voice.
8. Listen when someone else is speaking.
9. Always be kind and polite.

*** Please stress the use of good manners at school as well as at home, and
encourage the practice of always trying to do your best.

Students are expected to obey all classroom rules.

Students will receive a conduct grade each week.

When students follow the expected rules they will be rewarded through verbal
praise, "Hoppy" notes and treats from the teacher.

BEHAVIOR PADS

Each student has his or her own frog on the bulletin board. Each day,
students begin on the green lilly pad. As students choose to break classroom
rules, they will move to the yellow, red, and blue lilly pads. Before having
to move his or her frog, students will be given warnings in hopes to correct
their behavior.

~ Green Section (No moves): the student’s behavior is appropriate. He or
she is following both directions and rules. On their individual chart, the
student will receive a green stamp in the appropriate box.

~ Yellow Section: the student has been warned verbally about his or her
behavior and has chosen to break the rules anyway. On their individual chart,
the student will receive a yellow stamp in the appopriate box.

~ Red Section: the student has chosen to further break the rules. On their
individual chart, the student will receive a red stamp in the appropriate
box.

~ Blue Section: the student has chosen to further break the rules. On
their chart, the student will receive a blue stamp in the appropriate box.

Loss of fun time (centers, free play, etc.) will be the consequence for
this move.

~ If a student continues to break the classroom rules, a note will be sent
home to the parents, explaining their behavior. This note will be signed by a
parent or guardian and returned the following day.

~ Each child will have a monthly behavior chart that will remain in their
St. Clement folder on the left hand side. Each day, we will mark a green,
yellow, red, or blue stamp to record their behavior for that day. There will
also be a rule sheet attached under the chart. If a child moves their frog, a
corresponding number will be marked to explain their behavior. Please check
their chart each day to keep track of your child’s behavior in the classroom.
If needed, please reinforce good behaviors and manners at home to improve
their behavior in school. Please do not remove this chart or rule sheet from
the folder.

TREASURE CHEST/CANDY BOWL

~ We will do treasure chest/candy bowl on Fridays. In order for a child to
be able to go to the treasure chest, he or she must have five green stamps on
their behavior record. When the child goes to the treasure chest/candy bowl,
a check will be placed to show the child went on that day. The counting of
stamps will start over after the check. If the child does not have five
stamps from the check, then he or she will not be able to go to the treasure
chest.
