Expectations/Procedures

Expectations/Procedures

Respect: Show respect for ALL adults. Respect other's privacy, property,
and most of all opinions. When someone is speaking, please be respectful and
LISTEN. When an adult, except for other teachers, enters the classroom,
students should stand next to their desks and greet the adult with "good
morning" or "good afternoon."

Assignments: There will be no late work accepted without an excused
absence. Homework will be posted on my board and on my website. ALL
assignments must be written in cursive.

Tardiness & absences: Class starts when the bell rings. Please be seated
and ready at this time. Excessive tardiness and absences will be dealt with
on an individual basis. A study buddy will be assigned to absent students,
but it is the student's responsibility to get this information.

Participation: You will need to participate in class. This means sharing
your ideas, opinions, and answers and actively listening to others ideas,
opinions, and answers. The more you put in to class, the more enjoyable it
will be.

Be prepared for class: You will ALWAYS need a writing utensil (blue or black
ink,) paper, textbook, a book to read, planner, and your binder.

Tests and quizzes: Please be respectful of others around you by not talking
during tests and quizzes. If you need something after a test/quiz has
started, you need to ask me, NOT your neighbor.

Extra credit: Throughout each grading period there will be opportunities to
earn extra credit.

Food & drink: Candy, food, and beverages are NOT allowed in the classroom
without permission from the teacher. GUM will NEVER be permitted!
