Dear Parents:
Thank you so much for supporting your children during their special All
Saints' celebration. They did a wonderful job singing in Mass and they
behaved beautifully during Mass and of course most importantly, they looked
adorable!! I know they learned so much about being a person of God during the
past month as they learned about their Saint and about the Saints that we
talked about in class. I hope that they know that we all can be saints of God
by being obedient to His word.
We had a fun filled Friday at our Halloween Carnival. Thanks to all the moms,
dads and grandparents who made our day special.
This Monday will be Special also as we recognize our Grandparents and
Veterans. Our program will be in the Family Life Center, which is the
building next to our house. Grandparents or parents may check the children
out from the Family Life Center (not the office). We will have the form with
us that you will need to sign to check your child out. Remember to have your
child wear jeans and a solid red shirt, unless your child is announcing a
veteran, then they need to dress up.
Tuesday through Friday we will get back to our studies...In reading we will
continue in our Reading Unit about Transportation with the Theme of "Traveling
Near and Far". Our new sight word will be "go" and our Letter of the Week will
be "I". We continue to work on the phonograms /r/, /t/ and /u/. In Math we
will finish up the chapter on the Numbers 6 to 10 recognizing missing numbers
on a number line and using data to graph up to 10. We will review and take a
test over the chapter. In Religion we will discuss how God gave us Animals as
pets and we will also continue our study of Saints.
Next week we will be preparing for our Thanksgiving Feast! Where has November
gone?
Love,
Mrs. Hodge and Mrs. Hebert
