I have taught English for 22 years in Caddo Parish. I've been a Student
Council advisor for 20 years. I attended St. Joseph's school for 4 years and
then went to St. Vincent's Academy (the all girls Catholic High School). I
have been a parishoner at St. Joseph for 44 years. I have 3 kids. Daphne got
married last year to Alexander and teaches 4th grade at St. Thomas Moore in
Baton Rouge. Andrew is 21 and is living in Richomond VA. He will start law
school at LSU-BR next fall. Curtis is 16 and is a Jr. full back at Captain
Shreve. I've got 3 precious dogs, Boomer, Sadie, and Baby Baxter. I've been
married to Mark for 26 years. I LOVE to teach middle school, and English and
Reading are my favorite subjects! I enjoy reading, needlepoint, going to the
lake, gardening, and sleeping when I can! We're going to have a great year!

My mission is that every student understands all the material presented and
retains the information. I want mu students to be comfortable enough with me
to come to me when they're not sure of something or when they need more
information to understand concepts presented I want EVERYONE to understand!
It is my belief that EVERY child can learn. We may not all learn the same
way, but I'm equipped to acknowledge that and work with the student to make
sure that everyone is successful! It's my dream to have all students enjoy
reading by the time they leave my class!
