Sketchbook Homework - Grades 1-5

10 Bonus Points!!! Bring in a bag of candy for the treat box (kisses, 
tootsie rolls, jolly ranchers, etc. - no gum, please, and nothing with 
peanuts or peanut products.)

Due the week of March 2: "When I Grow Up" - What will you be? What will you 
look like? Be creative and use lots of detail!

Due the week of February 18: "If I were President" - What would you do? What 
would you change? Be creative and detailed!

Due the week of December 17 (2B, 3A, 3B, 4B, 5B only): My Christmas Wish. Be 
creative and detailed.

Due the week of December 3: Draw yourself as a cartoon character. Make sure 
you include you and a sidekick in an adventure.

Due the week of October 22: "Haunted House" - Be detailed and creative. And 
keep the blood and gore to a minimum, okay?

Due the week of October 8: "I Want to be Famous"  -  What would you want to 
be famous for? Rock Star? Discovering a cure for cancer? Be detailed and 
creative.

Due the week of September 24: "Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?" - Be 
creative with this one...WHY did he want to get to the other side? Don't 
forget the details!

Due the week of September 10: "A Day in the Life of My Pet" - Illustrate a 
day in your pet's life; this may take a few panels (like a comic strip). If 
you don't have a pet, "borrow" one or make one up. Be creative and detailed!

Due the week of August 27: "Construction Zone" Design a way for students and 
teachers to get around all the construction zones on campus. Be creative and 
be detailed!

Sketchbook assignments are given every other week. First graders will 
complete sketchbook assignments in class. Second grade and up will be 
expected to complete assignments for homework. Time for sketchbook 
assignments may or may not be given in class.
