November 9-13
Reading (Nolinske) Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth Speare. This week we will cover chapters 6-11. Friday: Vocabulary and comprehension quiz

Spelling (Nolinske)
Spelling: Unit 10 Test on Thursday
Handwriting: Spelling test will be in cursive. Students may print the word next to their cursive sample.
English: (Nolinske) We are completing a writing project this week. Students are writing a five paragraph essay using events from our reading novel. On Friday we will type our stories using the mobile lab. The computer skills being highlighted this week: single and double spacing paragraphs and one space after a period.
Math: (Mistich) We will continue our review of multiplication vocabulary as well as characteristics of numbers, including factors and multiples. In addition, students are learning about algebraic expressions and variables this week, as well as determining the rule for input/output tables. Test Friday will cover pages 100-107.
Science (Mistich)
We are completing our models of elements and will complete our presentations this week. As we learn about the elements, students will use the periodic table to organize elements according to their physical and chemical properties. Students will receive a study guide/practice test to complete, using the periodic table. Test next week on the Periodic Table usage.
Social Studies: Chapter 2 test on Thursday.
