Welcome Back! I hope everyone had a wonderful break and holiday! Mine was
very busy. Never seems to be enough time.....
I would like to thank everyone for the many great gifts I received, including
the money tree! Your generosity left me speechless! (No small task, I assure
you!) I truly appreciate all the special thought that went into the wonderful
presents I received. I would also like to thank the parents, especially Mrs.
Dufrene, who organized and conducted all the activities for our party. The
children had a great time and the food was well-received by all. I have some
great pictures of the limbo being done by the kids, Mr. O, and even Mrs.
Norsworthy! I will include them in the pictures the students will receive at
the end of the year.
Well, now that we have started the third nine weeks, it is time to check
school supplies and replace any lost or used up items. Many students need new
colored pencils, scissors, pencils, pens, and a red marking pen. Some
students are ready for new notebooks. Please check your child's supplies and
help them replace what is needed for the rest of the school year.
Our DARE graduation is January 22. The time for the event is on the weekly
overview. That same evening is our fifth grade social. To show our
appreciation to Officer Kindler, we are collecting "DARE dollars." This is a
voluntary gift that will be combined with all other money collected by the
classes and given to him at the graduation. Please consider participating in
this 5th grade Thank You!
