Reading (Nolinske) Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth Speare. This week we
will cover chapters 12-17. Friday: Vocabulary and comprehension quiz

ACCELERATED READING GOAL: Please ask your child how close they are to
achieving their goal for the second nine weeks. The following students have

Spelling (Nolinske)
Spelling: Unit 10 Test on Thursday Homework: Monday through Wednesday
Handwriting: Spelling test will be in cursive. Students may print the
word next to their cursive sample.
English: (Nolinske) Students will finish typing their stories from last
week. They should all know how to double-space a document in Microsoft
Word. We will also begin a persuasive essay project. Book skill:
Abbreviations
Math: (Mistich) We will complete the rest of Chapter 2 on algebraic
expressions and solving problems using variables. Test on Friday will cover
pages 100-113, as well as prime, composite, even, odd, square, multiples,
and factors.
Science (Mistich) We are completing our study of the periodic table with a
test on Friday.
Social Studies: Chapter three activities-Marco Polo. Mrs. Mistich’s class
has a current event due on Thursday in social studies on an event that has
occurred in the last two months. It must be completed on the social studies
current event form.
