SPELLING CHOICES

Each week students will be required to complete assignments 
for spelling.  Homework is due on THURSDAY. Tests will be on FRIDAYS.

Mondays will be pretest day. If your child makes a 100 on the 
pretest, they will be excused from the test on Friday.

Students will write their spelling words in the planner, complete 
assignments from the book, or be given free choice. If the assignment 
is free choice, then you may choose 1 from the following list. Be 
sure to write the title down, so I know which one you chose.   

	ABC: Put your words in alphabetical order.
	ZYX: Put your words in backwards -alphabetical order.
	Define It!: write the definition for each of your words
	Sentences: Write different sentences for each of your words
	Synonyms or Antonyms: write a synonym, antonym, or both for 
            your words
	Story: Write a short descriptive story using your spelling 
            words
	Picture Perfect: Illustrate your spelling words. Label each 
            picture and add some color.
	Spelling Triangles: Write your spelling words in the shape 
            of a triangle, adding another letter each time.
