Reading:  Some class time will be spent taking “reading checkpoints,” a parish requirement.  Focus Skill:  stanzas, lines, and rhyme found in poetry.  Test Friday on what we cover.

Language:   More use of commas in dates, & between cities and states. Beginning letter writing. Test Friday on what we accomplish this week!

Spelling:   We are studying unit 29 from the textbook.  Skill:  months & days of the week.  Spelling grades have been down due to fewer words.  Fewer words should make it easier to study!  The words in this unit are expected to be spelled correctly for the LEAP, as seen on an earlier list I sent home.   **No practice test this week. Final test Friday.
