What does it mean to be a PTA member?

Being a member does not mean you have to volunteer time. The cost of the
Membership is showing you support and believe in the PTA and what the
organization can do for the school. Your time volunteering is solely your
choice, any involvement is appreciated.

If I am a working parent how can I help?

There are many opportunities to be involved with your child no matter what
your schedule may be. You can complete take home work, you can volunteer for
evening events like fun or movie nights, general meeting host, etc. You can
take your family to evening events planned to support the school such as
restaurant sponsored nights for dinner.

When should I expect to be contacted to volunteer?

If you signed up at the beginning of the year to volunteer for certain
events there will be a member in contact with you. Do not hesitate to come
to the school and ask what help is needed that day, you do not need to wait
to be called upon to make a difference. You can also contact any board
member or chair person any time to become involved. It is much better for
the events if we have too many volunteers rather than not enough people to
properly complete events.
