My name is Candice Hickman, and I am 27 years old. I have lived in
Mandeville my entire life with my family. I have two older sisters and a
younger brother. I now live with my husband, Chuck, my son, Mason, and our
animals. We have three cats named Callie, Belle, and Nugget. We also
have one dog. He is a Vizsla named Kobi Dobi. My favorite hobby and sport
growing up was soccer. I have played soccer since I was four years old and
continued to play in college on an athletic scholarship. I played for
Nicholls State University for four years and graduated with a degree in
Elementary Education and Special Education. I also graduated from
Southeastern Louisiana University with my Master’s degree in Curriculum and
Instruction in Elementary Education. I have also completed my +30 while
working towards my certification in administration, which I completed last
last spring. This is my 6th year teaching and my third year teaching at
Woodlake Elementary. Other hobbies that I enjoy are kitesurfing, kayaking,
and traveling.
