•	current required independent reading material as announced
•	one 1½ inch three-ring binder with dividers 
•	divider pages labeled:  Vocabulary, Grammar, Literature, and 
Writing 
•	loose-leaf paper
•	black or blue ink pens
•	1 red ink pen for peer editing
•	pencils for scantron tests
•	highlighters for notes 
•	white out or liquid paper
•	jump or flash drive or recordable data CDs 
(Our equipment does NOT use floppy disks.)
•	access to Microsoft Word (We do not have access to Microsoft 
Works or Corel WordPerfect at school and can not open documents 
which have been typed using these programs.  Microsoft Word is 
available at all public libraries including the ZHS library.)
•	calendar or planner (usually provided by the school)
