Mrs. Bradley graduated from LSU with a degree in Apparel Design (Bach. of
Science) and after working in New York City in the fashion industry,
returned to Louisiana and began teaching art. She returned to LSU and
completed the Alternate Certification Program and received her Art Education
Certification.
Teaching art and working with the students is something that she truly
loves. She has been teaching for almost 7 years and this is her fifth
year at Zachary High School. She also spent two years teaching at Glen Oaks
High School in Baton Rouge, LA. Fashion illustration and painting with
watercolor and acrylics are her favorites. She is also a freelance fashion
and art writer for "City Social" magazine in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Bradley is
married to Brent Bradley and has a 3 year old daughter and a baby boy.
I encourage my students to do their best, to try new things and to expand
their horizons. It is my hope that they will make as many connections with
academics as possible, and at the same time cultivate their creative sides.
I try to offer a structured yet fair, fun, and encouraging environment for
my students. My philosophy is that every moment offers our students a chance
to learn something new. I want my students to leave school everyday feeling
that they have learned or accomplished something interesting and fresh. It
is my goal that the students are exposed to all of the remarkable and
diverse aspects of art and the world that we live in. Art is quite
subjective, therefore, I encourage my students to form their own educated
opinions. Hopefully, they will always be willing to absorb more and most
importantly, enjoy themselves.
