breeding method, behavior, and water temperature.

   Aquarium tanks and equipment, p. 373-378. Identify the necessary equipment to successfully raise fish.

   Explain the function of each. Questions for guided reading. (25 pts.)

Fri. - cont. / Maintain animal habitats.

Week of 4/28/08

Lesson:  Cats, cont.

Mon. - wrap up lesson, discussion questions, p. 148

Tues. - Lesson:  Fish and Aquariums / Introduction

   Define terms, p. 340 (28 pts.)

Wed. - Fish anatomy / Describe the characteristics of fish and differentiate between the 3 classes.

Fri. - Senior review / clean animal habitats

Lesson:  Cats, cont.

Mon. - continue with the "All About Cats" booklet, using the rubrics given

Tues. - complete booklets and print them out (100)

Wed. -  finish printing, peer evaluations and comments

Thurs. - wrap-up on cats

Fri. - Weekly maintenance lab - maintain all habitats, groom all animals

Monday - Reproduction / Describe the reproduction process in chinchillas

Lesson: Chinchillas

Monday - Introduction to raising chinchillas / Define new terms. Briefly describe the history of the chinchilla.

   Determine the major color groups and physical characteristics of the species. / PPt, text, p. 223-226

Tuesday - Producing chins / Outline factors to consider when raising chins, including housing and equipment,

   feeding, handling, and disease. / PPt, text, p. 230 use notes to develop a production outline (35 pts)

Wednesday - cont./ Distinguish between reproduction in chins and other small animals. / complete production outline

Thursday - Lab:  Maintain habitats for all small animals. / Review for quiz Monday.

Fri.  - Career Day

Week of 3/31/08

Lesson:  Dogs, cont.

Monday - Reproduction in dogs / Describe the reproduction process in dogs and tell signs of whelping

    Groom animals.  *Test on Dogs on Wed.*

Tues. - Review for test

Wed. - Test on lesson / Review requirements for Doggy Day

Thurs. - Lab: Clean and disinfect animals habitats and supplies

Friday - Doggy Day / Showcase your pet by giving an oral presentation, following the rubrics given
