Monday - Test on Parliamentary Procedure. Check on vegetable garden.

 

Tues. - Unit:  Animal Science. Lesson:  Introduction to Animal Science

   Identify major species of animals used in the livestock industry, their major uses and where the industry is located.

   Use graphic organizer. (35)

 

Wed. - cont. / Senior Exams

 

Thurs. - Review / Evaluation by CPS

 

Fri. - Beef Cattle / Define terms.

  

 

Week of 4/28/08

Leadership, cont.

 

Mon. - Parliaentary actions / Demonstrate how to use the point of order and to call for a recess./

   class practice, small group practice (10 participation pts.) *Test on Friday*

 

Tues. - cont/ Demonstrate how to appeal the decision of the chair and call for division of the house /

   class practive, small group practice (10 participation pts.)

 

Wed. - cont./ Demonstrate how to withdraw a motion and lay a motion on the table. (10pts)

   Sr. study guides given out

 

Thurs. - review for test

 

Friday - test on lesson

Leadership, cont.

 

Monday - Parliamentary actions / Determine how to properly make and dispose of a main motion. / notes on lesson

   Group activity:  Break into small groups of 3 or 4. Develop a script on the steps to follow, giving examples, to

   present to the class on Tuesday.

 

Tues. - lesson cont. / Students presentations from Monday

 

Wed. - Maintain the vegetable garden (plant each space, cultivate, water and fertilize) / 20 pts. participation

 

Thurs. Other partiamentary abilites / Demonstrate how to properly use 8 common partiamentary abilities during a meeting.

 

Fri. - cont. / Hold a mock meeting, using the agenda, and introducing 3 main motions. Use the other abilities during discussion

   of the main motion.

 

 

Week of 4/14/08

Lesson: Leadership, cont.

 

Monday - Introduction to Parliamentary Procedures / Define new terms and discuss meaning of each. Sketch diagram showing

   how the FFA meeting room is set up.

 

Tues. - The Opening and Closing Ceremonies / Class officers and members perform ceremonies.

 

Wed. - Making and disposing of a motion and its amendments , Rising to a Point of Order/ PPt - types of motions, steps in making a motion and amendments

   Give 2 examples by making pictographs.

 

Thurs. - Vegetable Garden - check on garden, harvest strawberries, sucker tomatoes

   Quick check, practice first 3 Parliamentary Law abilities in mock meeting

 

Friday - Other motions / Describe how to act upon other motions: what to say, purpose, whether to second, discuss, amend, vote
