May 21-25
We finished reading "The Cricket in Times Square" and we have finished all of our activities for the novel. This week the students will be working in groups to read and preform readers' theater stories. I think this will be a fun and interesting activity for the students. The students are encouraged to be creative, but work well with their group members. I will give each students a grade on their performance. The students will also give each other a grade based on how well the other students in their group cooperated during the week.
* We are all done with Mountain Language, spelling, reading, and vocabulary tests.
Our end of the year celebration is scheduled for Friday (May 25th). If we need anything I will send a note home with students.
Memorial Day
Remember, there is no school on Monday, May 28. There will be school on May 29-30.
Mountain Language
There is a copy of the Mountain Language form in the photos/documents part of this site in case you need to print one for your child. The students have been given two copies. The most recent one was laminated and should be in the Language Arts section of his or her binder.
* Please remember to check and sign your child's agenda every night.
* Students will bring home Tuesday folders on Tuesday.
