As all of you know, my due date is getting close. I’ve been having problems
with high blood pressure and swelling and have been sent to the hospital
twice already. Last week my doctor advised me to stay home and rest with my
feet up so I followed the doctor’s orders. When I went to the doctor
Tuesday, she said even though my blood pressure was still high, the swelling
seems to have slowed so the “bed rest” must be helping. As a result, my
maternity leave is starting a little earlier than I expected. Ms. Coll has
asked Jennifer Dupas to take my place in the classroom and she has accepted.
Mrs. Dupas, along with Mrs. Keena, will continue to follow the same behavior
plan and academic routines that I have established in the classroom. This
will help your child continue to feel comfortable in the classroom during my
absence. I miss all of my students already and look forward to seeing them
when I return to school in May. If you have any questions or concerns while
I am out, please do not hesitate to email me at prekmrsnunez@gmail.com.
