About The Teacher
I am 29 years young and will be here, SJHS,working as the art teacher until the end of this school year(2011-2012). I am certified in Art Education and have had 3.5 years experience teaching this subject. Currently, I am a working artist who specializes in acrylic painting and canvas building. I especially like painting portraits of any kind (pet and human) I also am proud to have a 13 month old son named, Miles Henry. My husband and I live in Covington, LA with our son.

Mission
I grade according to how much effort and time a student gives to his or her artwork, not on how well they can draw. Students are expected to put forth effort daily in art, since this is where the large percentage of their grade comes from. My goal in class is to give every student the opportunity to experience fulfillment and a sense of pride every time they complete a piece of art. My hope is that every students leaves my class having experienced this at least once and wanting to persue that experience again.
