Welcome To 2A

Dear 2A Parents,

Welcome to the exciting adventures of second grade!

We consider this grade level to be a stepping stone to the intermediate grades. We are looking forward to delivering the best academic year possible to your children. This year will be filled with fun, exciting and wonderful adventures.  After spending the first day with them, we already consider ourselves very lucky teachers.  The purpose of this letter is to give you a brief overview of what awaits your child this year.

In our classroom, we will work hard to develop a sense of organization and responsibility. To help with this, your child will be bringing home a “Homework Folder” every night-except for Fridays (except on long weekends or holiday breaks!).

We ask that parents spend a few minutes to look over their child’s homework inside their folder. The homework folder MUST come back to school each day and go home each night. There will be no homework coming home the first two weeks of school, mainly forms and papers for you to fill out and return! Please fill these out A.S.A.P. and send them back to school in your child’s homework folder!

Since we are a team in your child’s education, please feel free to contact us at any time with questions, concerns, or happy news! You can e-mail us or send us a note in your child’s homework folder as we will check them daily!

If a meeting is urgently needed just send us an e-mail or phone message to the office and we will quickly be in touch. Please Please Please, don’t consider us rude if we are unable to speak to you on the spur of the moment. Our first duty is to our students and we never use our teaching time to talk to parents.

Please feel free to contact us at:

We are thrilled to have your child in our class! Although we will only have your child for one year, we want to make a contribution that will last a lifetime. We look forward to working with you and your child and hope that together we can make this an outstanding year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Rania and Mrs. Najah
