    Zach earned a little money this summer by mowing lawns in his neighborhood. He charged $6.00 per yard In the first week he mowed 18 lawns and in the second week he mowed 13 lawns .
    How much did Zach earn in the second week?

    The Challenge: C.W. Norton Elementary School in Gainsville, Florida recently held an early December skating party at a local roller rink called Skate Station. Two hundred twenty-eight students attended. One third of the students had to rent skates at the rink and two thirds had their own roller blades. How many students rented skates and how many attended with their own?

    Mrs. Klein had 2 snails in her tank at the end of the first week. At the end of the second week, she had 4 snails. At the end of the third week, she had 8 snails. If this pattern continues, how many snails will she have at the end of the eighth week?

    Bonus :If one quarter of the snails were eaten after 8 weeks how many would be left?

    To prepare for the upcoming Centennial Terry Fox Run on September 29th all classes helped to collect pledges.Kindergarten raised $250.The grade one/two classes together raised $540 while the grade three/fours together raised $780.The grade five class raised $965 and the grade six class raised $745 . The only class not to report in on time was Mr. Ogren's five/six class.If the total raised was $4070, how much did Mr. Ogren's five/six class raise?
