My education consists of a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Clark
University as well as an undergraduate degree, BA in English, from
Binghamton University.
For the last thirteen years I have worked in the Worcester Public
Schools as a reading tutor and a third, fourth and sixth grade teacher.
I continue to further my professioanl development with education courses and
teaching workshops. Presently I hold a Masters Degree+30 status.
I was born in Queens, New York and raised on Long Island. Twenty two years
ago I moved to Worcester where I presently live with my husband, 2 college age
children, and 2 dogs named Kirby and Chandler. One of my favorite hobbies
for the last eight years has been the Japanese improvisational art of
SAORI Weaving. I continue to study SOARI weaving under the guidance of a
wonderful teacher here in Worcester.
A classroom should be a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Teachers and
students together must co-create this safe and nurturing environment through
respect, cooperation, exploration, and discovery. Then learning can take
place in a meaningful and fun way.
