All classes- The entire school will be attending a field trip to the
Worcester Tornadoes on May 31st! Please remember to return blue slip signed
back to school. Bring a lunch (without peanuts!) or select bagged lunch on
slip.
8th Grade FreeWrite due 6/1
Students should be actively reading To Kill a Mockingbird. All chapters must
be complete by May 31st. This is roughly a chapter a night, including
weekends.
Mocking Bird Test- June 4th or 6th (depending on review)
8th grade Field Trip- June 5th
Many 7th grade students watched How to Train Your Dragon today after their
individual writing meetings with Ms. Sullivan. This movie was presented in
their Advisory period. Students were then asked to complete a worksheet
comparing themes and conflicts in The Giver to those in How to Train Your Dragon. Both stories
share universal themes and conficts. This will be an extra credit grade for their efforts.
7th
Grammar unit- don't forget about nouns and pronouns! We will return to this
lesson soon. We will be moving into adjectives the week of May 21st.
Students should be working on their perfect society project. This project is
due on June 1st. The model and paper will be collected together on this day.
The Giver Test- Weds May 30th. After school help on Tuesday will be offered
until 3:45.
