Students are expected to have with them at all times a book to read as part
of their sixth grade requirements. They should read two books per term
which may include a book read in class. (See FYI)

We go to the library twice a month. Ask your child about our reading wall. Last year over
953 books were read by the students! We keep track of our reading in our reading folders, and
we are signed off for each book read. Stickers are placed on our motivational bulletin board
after books are conferenced. We also keep track of our reading in class-designated index boxes.
We have already read as of October 16, 230 books! Wow!!
