I am so glad to be able to have a spot to connect with you outside of school.
As most of you know, I am teaching sixth grade for the third year in a row.
My first year I taught Math in a different school district. The year before
that I taught Art!
I graduated from Worcester State College in 2009 with a Bachelors in
Psychology and Elementary Education, with a concentration in Mathematics. I
immediately began getting my master's degree in Reading, which I successfully
completed in May of 2012. I am certified to help students with their Reading
skills from grades K-12!
Although reading and literacy are my passions, I am a true fan of learning
across the content areas. I love experimenting to see how things work,
learning about places I hope to visit someday, and being knowledgeable about
how America works and the opportunities it provides its citizens.
My philosophy is simple. Work hard and you can teach yourself anything. It
is up to you how much you know at the end of the day. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
My mission is to have my students practice the following:
Independent Decision Making
Organizing to Successfully Learn at Home and at School
Treating Others How They Would Like to be Treated
