        IN CLASS:  students continue to work on the Ancient Egypt activities
                   today most students got a chance to work on the wireless 
                    laptops

                    and accomplished over the last week

        IN CLASS:  class was divided into five groups

                      science activity
                      reading activity
                   students will rotate through these activities for the
                      next two weeks until the work is completed.
                   students have the option to choose how they want to be
                       assessed ( choose 1)
                         test
                         create a learning center (choose 1)
                            religion
                            pharaohs
                            temples and pyramids
                            Egyptian life
                         keep an illustrated archaeologist's journal
                         write an ABC book on Ancient Egypt
                         the assessment form needs to be sighned by a parent 
                           and returned by Friday
                         work is due by November 8
        ASSIGNMENT: all students need to choose an assessment method and
                     have a parent sign the form to be returned by Friday
                    students who have not turned in an outside reading 
                       summary need to complete that activity by November 8
                    assignments vary according to the activity and amount of 
                       work completed during class.  All students were to 
                       write what they needed to work on in their agenda
                       books.

        IN CLASS:  overview of Egypt unit
                   notes quiz to check on accuracy and completeness of notes
                        this was not a grade but just to let students know
                        if their note taking needs improvement
                   worked on notes for Chap. 4 sec. 3 and 4

        ASSIGNMENT: finish notes for sec 3 and 4
                    Friday we will be having a video to introduce ancient 
                      Egypt.  Students who come to class without the  
                      assignment or with the assignment incomplet  will 
                      forfeit the privilege of viewing the video
