Welcome to another season of CHOCKSETT Field Hockey! I will be your head
coach this year. I would like to meet with the girls interested in playing
this year on Thursday during AE in Mr. DeMarco's room for uniforms and help
getting ready for the season!
The first practice will be on Tuesday, September 8th, with practices on
Wednesday and Thursday that week as well.
Our first game will be on Friday, September 11th VS QUABBIN (home game).
Please keep note of the schedule in the Field Hockey Schedule '09 section.
There are two changes. October 9 to the 8th, and October 15 to the 16th.

REMINDER: Green cards MUST be in before an athelete can practice. They must
also have a current physical on file with the school before they can play.
Please make sure your daughter or son has a current physical and green card
in to MR. DeMARCO as soon as possible!

EQUIPMENT: Athletes MUST have the following pieces of equipment:
Lacross/Field Hockey caged (Cascade?) goggles.
Shin guards (Field Hockey or Soccer).
COLORED MOUTH GUARD.
Pair of Blue knee socks and a pair of White knee socks.
Field Hockey Stick.
Blue shorts to be worn under skirt/kilt.
Highly Recommended to avoid injury:
Field Hockey Gloves and plastic soccer cleats.
Again, please make sure your daughter/son has their green card and physical
in by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. (September 9th).

10/3/09
It was a tough week, playing three games in four days. We managed to win two
out of three games! Although the team came out sluggish on Friday against
tough and physical Gardner team, the girls managed to fight back and almost
tie the game in the closing minutes. As coach, I'm very proud of the way the
girls are playing, improving, and staying positive. Well done, and I look
forward to next week with games on Wednesday and Thursday!

Today's game is cancelled due to weather. I'll let everyone know as soon as
it's rescheduled.
Also, to the best of my knowledge there will be some sort of awards ceremony
in November. More details to follow when they become available.

What a season!
Thank you all for one of the most memorable sports seasons in my coaching
career. I have had a great time coaching this extraordinary group of
athletes. To see where they started and be a part of where they finished was
an honor and a privilege. I am very proud of the time, effort, and pure joy
these girls gave to the team. It made my job as coach easy and fun, and it
will be missed greatly. The team has a great core of returning players for
next year, and with some help perhaps we can recruit a whole new crew of
great players...
Thank you to all my field hockey athletes who gave so much this season.
Thank you to the parents for being so generous in helping me and the team.
Thank you to those who gave their time to help me instruct the players.
Thank you to the administration for being so supportive.
