November 14th, 2011

The test on Chapter 4 - "North Africa and the Middle East" will be on Monday, 
November 21. Study guides were given out today and are to be completed for 
Wednesday, November 16. We will play a Jeopardy review game on Friday. 
Students should study throughout the week, as well as over the weekend. I 
have included a printable copy of the study guide on my website that students 
can use to help them study.

October 7th, 2011

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the chapter 2 test is on 
Thursday, October 13th. Students should study over the long weekend and come 
in on Tuesday ready to play the Jeopardy review game. Also, I have included a 
copy of the study guide on my website that students can print out and use to 
help them study. Have a wonderful Columbus Day Weekend!

A note about the online textbook:

The online textbook is a great resource for students. The link to it, along 
with username and password, is in the LINKS section of my website. If you 
have trouble accessing it, I have a couple of pointers. If it tells you that 
the password is incorrect, make sure you have not copied the 'space' before 
the password. This is a common mistake! Also, I have received numerous 
reports that some computers will access the book but are unable to navigate 
around the pages. I have had this problem on my new computer at home and 
after hours of troubleshooting I have been unable to remedy the problem. 
Because the book is older and was most likely published using older software, 
older computers seem to have no problem accessing it. If you have an older 
laptop or desktop, try accessing it with that. In the mean time I will do my 
best to come up with a fix for it on the newer computers. If anyone has any 
breakthroughs, please do not hesitate to let me know!

Welcome back parents and students! I hope that everyone had an oustanding 
summer vacation and relaxing Labor Day weekend. With the first week of school 
behind us students will begin getting into the content of their new courses. 
On this website I have included some information that you may find helpful 
including an online textbook. Of course I will go over this information with 
parents at Open House on September 21st @ 6:00.

Also, I would like to thank any parent or student who has donated any items 
to me this year. The donations are very much appreciated. Thank you!
