I have been teaching in Boxford for 12 years, and this is my 5th year in
first grade. Prior to teaching in Boxford, I taught in a private school
setting in Topsfield and Manchester-by-the-Sea. I have a Bachelor's Degree in
Elementary Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I also have a
Master's Degree in Education.
I have been married to my husband Chip for 23 years. We have two children,
Emily, who is a pre-med major at Wake Forest University, and Eric, who is a
business major at Western New England College.
In addition to enjoying being a mother and a teacher, I also enjoy "trying"
to play golf, walking with my coonhound Sadie, and reading.
My mission is for students to believe that learning is fun. As their teacher,
I will treat them with respect and appreciate their differences and expect
them to treat others with respect and appreciate differences. I want my
students to leave my classroom as lifelong problem solvers and cooperative
learners.
