About The Teacher
I have been teaching in Boxford for 15 years, and this is my 7th year in first grade. Prior to teaching in Boxford, I taught in a private school setting in Topsfield and Manchester-by-the-Sea. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I also have a Master's Degree in Education. I have been married to my husband Chip for 24 years. We have two children, Emily, who is a 2008 pre-med graduate from Wake Forest University and is currently attending the Boston University School of Medicine to receive her Master's degree in Medical Sciences, and Eric, who is a senior at Western New England College, majoring in Business. In addition to enjoying being a mother and a teacher, I also enjoy "trying" to play golf, walking with my coonhound Sadie, and reading.

My mission is for students to believe that learning is fun. As their teacher, I will treat them with respect and appreciate their differences and expect them to treat others with respect and appreciate differences. I want my students to leave my classroom as lifelong problem solvers and cooperative learners.
