It’s
not too late to join the PTO
Did you forget?. . . If you’ve forgotten to join,
it’s not too late, and we would really appreciate your support. The $25 each
family donates helps with:

Publishing our school directory, which is an
exclusive PTO member benefit
-
Bringing in programs that supplement the
curriculum at each grade level. Last year there was an inflatable planetarium
and a Museum of Science group – just a couple of the programs the PTO helped
fund that brought learning and fun together in a different way than happens
every day in the classroom.

Running free “Turn off the TV week” and “Family
Night” events, such as this week’s Halloween Bingo.

Lowering the cost parents pay for field trips
-
Funding teacher special requests, such as
improvements to the playground structure, gym equipment, the outdoor
classroom, the art courtyard, the stage program, cameras and smartboards for
the classroom, etc.

Giving each teacher a yearly stipend for classroom
supplies !
To join, you only need to print and complete the
Membership form 2011-12 (or just write the info on a piece of paper) and send
it into school with your child along with your check for $25. We look forward
to hearing from you!

Throughout the year, the PTO organizes a wide variety of
programming to support the curriculum, build community and raise funds to
enhance student learning at Cottage Street School. The CSS PTO is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization.
Join the PTO and help make our school great! All PTO
members get a copy of the Cottage Street School directory free . The
directory, which contains class lists and contant information for students,
makes it easy for you to connect with other CSS families.
Get involved! The PTO offers a wide variety of
volunteer opportunities, allowing you to do as little or as much as you like. Click
