First Ever CSS Roller
Skating Fundraiser on Sunday, January 24th
Let's roll into the 70's - bring the
family to this school-wide skating party!
Where: Carousel Family Fun Center,
Whitman, MA
When: Sunday, January 24th, 12-2PM
How: Purchase your tickets ahead of
time for $10 a person or pay $15 at the door (skate/blade rental included).
Family discount - purchase at least 4 tickets and pay only $7 each. Flyers
with details will be distributed at school soon. (back

Peace, Love and Box
Tops Update
So far 956
Box Tops have been submitted so we have 1004 to reach 1960! One lucky winner
will be selected from all submissions to go on the morning announcement and
spread a message of peace and will receive a child appropriate CD of the
greatest hits from the 60's. The winner will also help us select a gift for
the school that will help promote peace. Click here

Volunteers Needed!
The PTO is
currently looking for volunteers to help with the following:
--Popcorn Friday: Popcorn Friday is a CSS tradition! Volunteers needed to help pop and bag popcorn, and/or clean up on Friday mornings, anytime between 7-10AM. Come help for any part of that time as you can. If you're interested in volunteering, contact Cathy Ruvich (c.ruvich@comcast.net) or Mary Lang (marycsspto@hotmail.com).
--Art: Art Teacher Committee Chair Lakshmi Raman and Mrs. Biddle are looking for someone to come to Cottage once a week to help hang art up and do other light work. If you are able to help, please contact Lakshmi (lakshmijay@comcast.net).
--MainSpring House Lunch Program: volunteers
needed to help children make lunches for the residents of MainSpring
House, a local non-profit dedicating to ending homelessness. If you have
time to help out on January 12, February 9, March 9, April 6, May 4 or June 8,
please email MainSpring Committee Chair Loren McLaughlin (lrkkc5@comcast.net).
--Fun Fair: volunteers needed to co-chair raffles, and graphic designer neede to help us with the logo and signage, etc.

Used Legos Wanted!
The
first-grade teachers are looking for donations of used legos for their
classroom activities. If you have any old legos to donate, please bring them
to the CSS office.

Throughout the year, the PTO organizes a wide variety of programming to support the curriculum, build community and raise funds to enhance student learning at Cottage Street School. The CSS PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Join the PTO and help make our school great! All PTO members get a copy of the Cottage Street School directory free . The directory, which contains class lists and contant information for students, makes it easy for you to connect with other CSS families.
Get involved! The PTO offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, allowing you to do as little or as much as you like. Click here to learn more. We're currently looking for volunteers to join PTO committees. Please let us know what you'd like to do this coming year.
