Citing Sources

Give Credit to Authors for Writing Great Books!

From the earliest grades, students need to give credit to the authors, books,
and Web sites they have used for their research.

Use Noodle Tools, an online service, to create, save, and print a
bibliography. Create a personal ID and register for a free NoodleBib starter
account for elementary students. (Choose the third option on the "New User
Registration" page.)

The Danvers Public Schools use the MLA (Modern Language Association 7th
edition) format for citations.

You can access Noodle Tools from home or school and save your
bibliography:

Click on your grade to see how to cite information simply. This
is a good choice for grades K-3. Fourth and fifth graders should
set up a Noodle Tools account.
