Week of 2/8:
Welcome to a new week of school!
The Spelling Bee finals are on February 8th at 1:15.
Part of every student's weekly homework is to study for tests and quizzes.
Please review concepts at home with your child to help him/her be prepared.

In spelling, we are studying lesson 17.
In ELA, we are continuing a unit on mythology. Students will continue
writing their own myth. The book Hippolyta and the Curse of the Amazons will
be read out loud for enjoyment. We will also be practicing for the upcoming
MCAS testing.
In math, we will be working on the division of fractions and fraction
equations.
In social studies, we will continue to study Europe while we finish up the
Geography Fair projects.
In science, we will continue plate tectonics and will have a test on it.
Please check both the website and agenda books for important homework
assignments and due dates.
Students should have a book in school at all times for independent reading.
Both Ms. Andersen and Mrs. Walker have classroom libraries from which
students may choose books.
