ABOUT THE TEACHERS

MRS. REYNOLDS

This year marks my eighth year as a teacher, and I am excited to share it
with you! My educational background includes a B.S. degree in English from
Suffolk University, and a Master of Education degree from Fitchburg State
College. In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to the movies, and
spending time with my family and friends. My family includes my husband
John and our two children, Emily and Patrick, both of whom will be away at
college this year.

MR. RUBIN

The 2007/2008 school year is my 38th as a classroom teacher in the town of
Plympton! I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater State
College. I take pleasure in teaching all disciplines, but math and science
are my favorites. My wife, Suzanne, and I are the proud parents of two sons
and two daughters, and the grandparents of seven beautiful grandchildren.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching and playing sports, and spending
time with my grandchildren.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy of teaching is a simple one. Work hard, love to learn, and
appreciate knowledge gained as its own reward. These beliefs act
as our compass as we navigate change and challenge in our teaching
practice. Whether implementing governmental mandates, or trying to help a
struggling student, our beliefs sustain us and make our purpose clear. By
demonstrating an excitement for learning, even when learning is hard, we
personify the philosophy that we hold dear.

We extend this philosophy to our students as well, and strive to have
them embrace it. We want our students to know the satisfaction of a job
well done. If students achieve what they attempt by working hard to meet an
educational goal, they can take justifiable pride in their accomplishments.
And pride in learning can belong to any child, regardless
of ability, when the desire to achieve is present.
