2012
ATTENTION GRADE 3!!  Please check the homework page as our songs have changed slightly!

Please view our Spring Concert Invitation!

Here's what we're doing this month:

Kindergarten-  Experimenting with tempos (speed of the beat) and adding dynamics (volume control) to our ever growing list of songs and games that we play together.

Grade 1- Listening skills- including identifying notes (quarter note/rest and 8th notes) and different instrument sounds.

Grade 2 -Reading and playing songs from the musical staff using quarter notes/rests and 8th notes.  We will also be learning to use Boomwhackers- a pitched percussion instrument.

Grade 3- Reviewing our playing technique on our recorders and reading new music from the staff.  We are also getting ready for our spring concert in June and starting to practice homework that will eventually need to be memorized. Please check back to view our Grade 3 Homework Page (located at the right).

Grades 4 and 5- Both grades are focusing heavily on singing techniques and using movement while singing- known as choreography.  We are learning about various genres of music from around the world as our concert this Spring is themed "Planet Rock".  Feel free to watch the choreography and listen to the music for our combined number here: Double Dream Hands! (Planet Rock Song) .

Due to a lot of requests for no images online there will be no videos.
