Día de los Muertos Project

November 1 and 2 are called the Days of the Dead in Mexico - Días de los Muertos (it sounds much more poetic in Spanish!!) This is a very special time to remember loved ones who have passed away and spend time with the family. It is a holiday that brings families together to celebrate and to share memories and stories about loved ones. It is a beautiful celebration of life!! Day of The Dead is a beautiful holiday in Mexico on November 1 and 2. It is a time to honor the memory of the deceased members of your family. Below is a PowerPoint presentation that explains the holiday for students. I am hoping that they will look at it with families at home. I really encourage you to do this, if at all possible. The Project directions and components are below. If you choose cooking or a craft, you are also welcome to research your own craft or recipe for Day of the Dead. Please be sure to record website/location where you found it.
