<div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"> <hr />Essex PTO Update                             May 2012 <hr /></div><div style="text-align: left;"> Thanks for Supporting the 2012 Online Auction   This is the PTO’s biggest fundraiser of the year and you all came through!  The auction made a whopping $17, 690!  With this money, you can count on the incredible field trips and enrichment programs that our children are participating in to continue next year!  A special thanks to Annie Cameron, Paula Newton, and Amanda Kuhl for coordinating this important event.     Were you as Happy as a Clam??!!   The rain didn’t dampen this event!!  There were plenty of Happy Clams running through Essex!!  Thanks to Jen Tolo and her Clam Crew for keeping us all happy and healthy!  For photos of this fun-filled evening, check out the “Photo Gallery” on the sidebar.     Supporting My Community   Here’s a win-win!  Through this program you can save money when going out to eat AND make money for EES!  How can you not love that?!  Simply go to <a href="http://www.supportingmycommunity.com/">www.supportingmycommunity.com</a> and purchase a gift certificate from a local restaurant for a 10% discount.  Then select Essex PTO from the list of nonprofits and we receive7% of the amount of the gift certificate.  Easy money for our school!  So before you head out on the town, check out this program first!  We will all be winners!     Playground Painting   Thanks to Missy Marron for coordinating a playground painting day!  Stop by the playground or ask your kids about the great new stencils out there.  Four Square is already a big hit, but there are now hopscotch areas, a newly refreshed map, and lines and games for ball play.     By-Laws Review   At the last PTO meeting we reviewed and updated the PTO by-laws.  No major changes were made other than to clarify positions and bring areas up to date.  You can see the revised by-laws below.  These will be voted on at the PTO Annual Meeting on Monday, June 4.  <a href="EES-PTO-By-Laws-revised-May-2012.pdf">EES-PTO-By-Laws-revised-May-2012.pdf</a>   Thank You to Dunkin’ Donuts   Thank you to our local Dunkin’ Donuts for their generous $200 sponsorship of the PTO.  We appreciate your support! </div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank You to Our 2011 -2012 Gold Sponsors</div>
