Homework Assignment books should be filled out Monday - Thursday nights. It is a
part of their homework responsibility to make sure the Assignment book comes back
and forth between school and home.
READING LOGS: (salmon colored sheet): These are to be updated every night by
your child and then turned in on Friday's with a parent/gaurdian signature. Thank you
for your support.
Reader's Notebooks:
This should be a one page friendly letter written to me about the book they are
reading. Each child has a template to follow in their Reader's Notebooks to guide
them in writing their letter.
Starting in November - These letters will go home as homework and will be due on
Fridays. This will be there only homework on Thursday nights so it is expected to be
well done with complete sentences and correct format.
They are also expected to keep up with their Reading List located in their yellow
Reader's Notebooks where the letters will be written.
Fluency Poems will be sent home most weeks. Your child is expected to practice this
poem so he/she can read it fluently in front of the class on Fridays.
Homework Passes will be given every 3 weeks beginning Sept. 26th. Your child earns
a homework pass if he/she has done all of their homework every night of the 3 weeks.
