This is my seventh year teaching at Fiske and my second year in a straight second grade class. For
the previous five years, I taught the 2/3 multi-age. I moved to Massachusetts from Bethesda,
Maryland where I taught 3rd grade. Teaching a multi-age class was a challenge I really enjoyed, but I
am happy to work with a great second grade team of teachers planning instruction to meet just one
set of learning goals!
I spent my elementary, middle, and high school years in Vermont. I then went
to the University of Michigan where I experienced being a student at a much
larger school. I loved Ann Arbor-the town, the people, and the sports. I still go back
annually to catch a football game. My heart, however, remains in Vermont where my husband also
grew up. We return frequently to ski in the winter and spend time on Lake Champlain with our
family in the summer.
