About The Teacher

The 2007-2008 school year will be my 20th year teaching physical education
in the Bolton school system. I grew up in Leominster, MA where I still live
with my family. I grew up training in ballet for many years. In high
school I participated in gymnastics and played varsity field hockey. I
graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in physical
education and a minor in fine art. I have taken many graduate courses at
Fitchburg State, Worcester State and Framingham State Colleges. I am now
pursuing a Masters in Physical Education through Emporia State University in
Kansas.

My husband, Joe and I have four children ranging from 26 to 10 years old.
Jeff, a Boston University graduate, is a Captain in pilot training
for the Air Force Reserves. Scott is a student at Eastern Connecticut State
University and Jenny is a student at Boston University. Greg is a fifth
grader in Leominster and participates in many team sports. I am a coach for
his soccer and basketball teams.

My hobbies include golfing, walking, running, skiing and swimming.

Mission For The Class

My mission for the students is to help them learn to love activity. In
order to accomplish this goal students need to be exposed to a wide variety
of activities and have to feel successful as they learn new skills. I use
many fun activities and games to reinforce proper skill usage and to improve
fitness levels. The children are having fun playing the games and do not
realize they are getting a high level workout. When children have the
skill, confidence and desire to be active they will choose to be active
which will make them healthier, happier and academically more successful.
