Please read these announcements for 4K and 4S:
• Save the Date: On Monday, June 22 the fourth grade will be sharing their work with you. You can visit our Fourth Grade Sharing from 1:45-2:45 to see the great work that students have completed. This includes our how-to posters, state projects, and just published tall tale books.
• Save the Date: On Tuesday, June 23 the fourth grade will participate in a Murder Mystery Festival as the culminating activity for our mystery unit. We sent home letters about the event (including materials needed for the event and volunteer forms) for the big day. Please contact us if you need any of the forms or can help out. We welcome parents to join us for the activities.
• Movie needed! Does anyone have the movie Akeelah and the Bee? We wany to show it to get kids excited for our grade level spelling bee. Please let us know.
• If anyone has any mystery games (i.e. Clue) and could let us borrow them, please send them in with your name on it. We are working on a mystery unit and they would be great to have for free time (i.e. indoor recess) or during T & E.
• Spelling update: please see the sheet sent home with your child on Tuesday, May 26. It explains about the exciting spelling bee the fourth grade will be having. We will no longer have spelling tests for the rest of the year due to the spelling bee.
• Agenda Books: Starting on 4/27 students are required to get their parents signatures in their agenda book each night. This is a requirement in fifth grade so we are doing this to prepare students for next year. It is also a good way for parents to know what assignments students have and any important plans for the week. In addition to this, it is another way for us to reinforce the importance of bringing in agenda books and homework folders on a daily basis.
Schedule notes:
• Field Day at 9:00 on June 22
- 4K wears dark shirts
- 4S wears light shirts
• Fourth Grade Share on June 22 from 1:45-2:45
• Mystery Festival on June 23 (all day)
• Our last day of school is scheduled for June 25
Other notes:
I know this seems repetitive for many of you, but please follow the procedure for sending in dismissal notes.
• Please remember to put your child's first and last name and 4S or 4K at the top of all
dismissal notes. This saves us a lot of time from having to write them for all our students and makes it easier for the office to keep track of as well.
