SEÑORA MONTIONE: BURRELL & IGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
¡Hola! My name is Murielle Montione, and this year will be my 8th
year teaching in the Foxborough Public School System. Like the past
school years, I am teaching all the students at the Burrell
Elementary School (grades 1-4), as well as 4th grade classes at the
Igo Elementary School.
I was born and raised just outside Paris, France and have been living
in the United States for 12 years. I became an American citizen in
2008. I am married and also a mom of 5 year-old twins – Emily and
Thomas – who just started Kindergarten.
Foreign languages have always been a passion. French being my native
tongue, I also studied English, Spanish and German. After receiving
an MBA from the Sorbonne University in Paris and working in various
European countries in international marketing, I decided to come back
to my first love, teaching children. I have also had the opportunity
to study at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain with
teachers from all over the world.
I am very energetic, enthusiastic, and have an unyielding commitment
to education. I am delighted to have the opportunity to teach your
children and expose them to a multicultural environment in a growing
global world.
If you have any question or if you would just like to introduce
yourself, feel free to contact me via the office, through your
child’s teacher, or via email: montionem@foxborough.k12.ma.us
SEÑORA KAREN ABRAHAMS – IGO & AHERN
¡Hola!
I came to Foxborough with experience teaching Bilingual Education and
English as a Second Language programs in Boston, Framingham and
Chelsea. Most of the students I taught spoke Spanish at home,
and it was my job to teach them English! I have traveled, lived, and
studied in Spanish-speaking countries, including Chile, Mexico,
Spain, Puerto Rico and Colombia. I believe that learning a second
language helps people expand their sensitivity to others, as well as
helps them to develop their native language skills.

SEÑOR SANTIAGO GARCIA-TROCHE – IGO & TAYLOR
¡Saludos!
My students call me Señor García but my real name is Mr. Santiago
García-Troche.
I teach Spanish at the Taylor and Igo Elementary Schools. Each 6-day
cycle, I spend four days at the Taylor School and two days at the Igo
School. At the Taylor School, I teach grades 1-4. At the Igo School,
I have classes in grades 1-3.
I am originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, in the
Caribbean. My native language is Spanish. I came from Puerto Rico to
Springfield, Massachusetts sixteen years ago. I worked in Springfield
for 16 years as a Bilingual and Spanish Teacher.
I studied in Puerto Rico, where I received my BA and MA. In Puerto
Rico, I worked as an Elementary and Middle school teacher. I also
worked as a Librarian at all levels, including college. Finally, I
was a school principal for 14 years.
I am very proud to work as a Spanish Teacher in the Foxborough Public
School System. It's an exciting town to work in!
