NEW THIS YEAR: Taylor School Reading Specialist Danna Collins will be leading three literacy workshops for parents and caregivers. To R.S.V.P. for the Literacy Workshops, please send an email to collinsd@foxborough.k12.ma.us and let her know which workshop(s) you are planning to attend. Younger siblings and future kindergarten students are invited to attend the Strategies for Young Readers lunchtime workshop. Childcare will be provided from 4:30 – 5:30 so parents can attend the Literacy Apps to Use This Summer and Building Reading Comprehension workshops without their children.
Each class will be visiting the Scholastic Book Fair in the Taylor School library during the school day on Friday. If you would like your child to be able to purchase books during their classroom visit, please send in a small amount of cash with them on April 26th in an envelope marked with their name, their teacher’s name, and the words “Taylor Book Fair.” Students will also be given the opportunity to create a wish list to bring home if you prefer to shop with them after school. Proceeds from the book fair fund literacy initiatives sponsored by the Taylor School PTO.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Colleen McManus (508-698-9112, steveandcol@comcast.net) or Erin Earnst (508-543-2966, erinearnst@comcast.net). Thanks for your support!
