Welcome to Grade 8 Physical Science!

This year you are going to use scientific processes
to explore a variety of topics.  This means that
you will investigate problems, collect data (through observation and experimentation), analyze that data
(figure out what it means) and support your conclusions using the evidence you collected.

Physical science covers concepts in both chemistry and physics. This year, you will explore:  Forms and Transfer of Energy, Properties of Matter, Chemical and Physical Changes, Atoms and the Periodic Table, Heat Energy, and Motion. 

This website has been created with you in mind.  As the year progresses, I will place study guides for quizzes and tests here, copies of notes and links to sites that are related to the topics we are investigating.  Check in regularly for updates and changes.
