HW for week of 10/29

Homework Policy

Unless otherwise noted homework is due the day after it is assigned. Homework is graded for effort rather than accuracy. Work and reasoning to solve the problem MUST be shown, otherwise homework will be returned to be redone. Grades will be a check plus, check, check minus or a zero. Homework will be accepted one day late (with no loss of grade) only if on the day it is due a " one day late pass" is turned in. (Students have 2 passes per quarter in each subject.)

Monday – 10/29

  • All Pre-Algebra – “On and On and On” worksheet

Tuesday – 10/30

·      All Pre-Algebra – “It alls Adds Up” worksheet – write recursive and explicit formulas for any 2 sequences.

Wednesday – 10/31

·      All Pre-Algebra - Create a sequence at least 5 terms long, where the difference between terms increases the same amount between each term (This is called a 2nd order arithmetic pattern).  Make a line graph of the first 5 terms of your pattern.

Thursday – 11/1

·      All Pre-Algebra - “Productive Problems” worksheet

Friday – 11/2

  • Pre-Algebra - “Block Pattern Worksheet”,
  • Advanced Pre-Algebra - same work sheet but also write recursive formulas for each pattern.
