Another good free/shareware program for opening those pesky Word documents (or
creating them) is the very reliable and reputable Open Office suite, available
for download or as a low-cost CD.  This one is available for PCs as well as
Mac computers.

One way of dealing with the fact that there are many word processors in the
world (Word, Word Perfect, Appleworks, and so forth) is to access documents in
a form that will work on all computers.  Adobe Reader is that kind of a
program--it's free, and it is needed to access a few files on this web page.

Printer Driver Download - Students who participate in the laptop program can
use my laser printer in my classroom by arrangement.  To do so, you'll need to
download and install the drivers for my printer (software that runs the
printer for your computer).
