Mr. Michitson is a licensed teacher with professional status, and holds an
initial license as supervisor director, and as principal. All licenses are
with the state of Massachusetts. He has been teaching for 9 years, all in
the Haverhill school district. He has been at Golden Hill School for 5 years.
Mr. Michitson has a bachelor degree (high honors) in history from UMASS
Lowell, a masters in elementary education from Lesley University, several
math content graduate credits, and a CAGS (Honors) for Educational
Leadership through Salem State College.He has also served as the web master
for Golden Hill School.
Mr. Michitson works with the professional development committee, the
district strategic planning committee, and has worked with the math steering
committee. Last year he lead an after school computer program for Golden
Hill. Currently he is involved with a comprehensive Langauge Arts program,
Lesley Literacy Collaborative.
Room 301 will encourage a spirit of inquiry, produce learners who work to
achieve to rigorous academic standards, and create a safe learning community.
We will learn independently and as a community, we will develop
intellectually and ethically to be good citizens of our school and community.
