What are the times school is open?

7:55 - 2:30 is when students can arrive at school.  Classes run from 
8:20-2:30.  No student should arrive at school before 7:55 because 
there is no adult supervision.

Dismissal on 1/2 days is at 12:05PM.

Can we use the playground equipment before school starts in the morning?

In the interest of safety, we do not allow children to use the playground 
structure in 
the morning.  There are too many children on the equipment and it makes for 
an unsafe situation.

Can I park in the semi circle driveway to pick up my child at dismissal?

No, that is for buses only.  Park out on Pickering st.

When there is a problem at school, who do I contact first?

Your child's teacher should always be your first line of communication.  If 
there is an emergency speak with Mrs. Rideout and she will direct you to the 
most appropriate person to help you.

How do you communicate with parents?

Through Oakleaves our monthly newsletter and this website in the announcements section which is 
updated weekly. 
I am also starting Principal's coffees as a way to improve communication between parents and 
school.  These will be held once a month in the school library at 9;00 AM.
